Cult TV blogging July:

Sir Francis Drake (1961) - one of the great TV adventure series.

The Baron (1966-67) - pretty entertaining for all its flaws.

It’s Dark Outside, season one (1964) - very odd and incredibly uneven British cop show.

Also an excellent episode from Brian Clemens' 1970s Thriller series, Night Is the Time for Killing (AKA Murder on the Midnight Express, 1975) and a very good 1969 episode of the BBC's sci-fi anthology series Out of the Unknown - The Last Lonely Man (1969).

Forgive me if you've mentioned this before, but have you ever seen a series called Zodiac? It's a 70s series about a posh cop and an equally comfortable psychic lady who solve crimes. I watched the first episode, hoping for something in the line of Sapphire and Steele, and was pretty disappointed. The male lead is pretty pukeworthy and the vital sense of supernatural weirdness just wasn't there, it was more like a light comedy really. But I would make an extra effort and watch a few more episodes if I got a recommendation from someone.

Oh how stupid, I see you did mention the series a few months ago! I have been rubbish at Livejournalling recently. Sorry for wasting everybody's time...
